This is the premier issue of Artworks, the ‘new’ newsletter for Performing Arts Burlington. Easier to hold (no messy folding and unfolding), easier to read and share with friends and family! The name, artwork, design and format are the creation of Heather Ableson, Information Coordinator at Performing Arts Burlington.

Theatre Burlington donates $10,000 to the PAC
On Dec. 16 Theatre Burlington presented a $10,000 cheque to the City towards the Performing Arts Centre. The money was raised by adding a $1 surcharge to adult tickets to show the theatre group’s support. The money was raised between 2002 and 2007.
This means 10,000 people came out to see our shows. Thanks to everyone involved in this great effort.
Support for theatre is alive and well in Burlington.
Acquiring a grand piano for the PAC
Andrea Battista, local pianist, violinist and teacher, is interested in setting up a committee to purchase a grand piano for the new Performing Arts Centre. Anyone interested in sitting on this committee, which will involve fundraising, is asked to contact her at 905-331-8701 or abattista1@cogeco.ca.
